Within the framework of the Manos al Agua-Intelligent Water Management (IWM) project, we have been working to promote and achieve efficient water management in Colombia’s coffee regions to positively impact the environment.
Manos al Agua puts at everybody’s disposal the Water Learning Network, a virtual space where multiple actors from different sectors have the opportunity to interact, share knowledge and coordinate actions around problems, challenges and solutions regarding climate variability and water resources.
The Water Learning Network is developed with the support of the CEDDET Foundation (Spain), which has extensive experience in establishing and developing networks of experts, since it has been working in this field since 2003 with institutions such as the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), the Central American Integration System (SICA), and other public institutions in Latin America.
Locally, we have the support of UNIVERSIA, which performs as a contact point between the Learning Network and Colombia’s universities. UNIVERSIA-Colombia’s specific role in the project is to facilitate involvement of universities and spread the network’s activities at university level.
This network is aimed at the Manos al Agua staff and all professionals, students, and people somehow related to or interested in water management and the environment.
